print screen + open MSPaint(or photoshop, or GIMP, or...), new document, ctrl+v.
Voila.
Edit: just realized you might have meant custom toolbars/icons, not how to take a screenshot. Lol. There are a number of programs out there that do this, such as WindowBlinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/). There are others out there, do a bit of searching in Google and you'll find a few.

well i use UXthemepatcher (http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707) to display custom windows skins. It allows you to use unsigned visual styles by patching the UXTheme.dll .
you can get the visual styles from here (http://browse.deviantart.com/skins/windows/visualstyle/)
and i think you can make visual styles using StyleBuilder (http://www.tgtsoft.com/) and whatever your favorite image editing program is, I recommend the gimp

StyleXP from http://www.tgtsoft.com/ is what I use.. Its pretty painless and doesn't eat up a ton of system resource. As for styles, there are LOTS of sites dedicated to them. Google search for "visual styles" will probably give pretty good results..

Very true. Nice thing about StyleXP, its pretty affordable at 20 bucks. So if you like it, it won't break the bank.. :)
