This may have already come up but..."new posts" brings up what appears to be the same threads as "today's posts."

Should "New Posts" actually be entitled "New Threads" and show the most recent threads that have been started? Or am I just not getting it?

Today's Posts brings up all the posts that have been made today. New Posts brings up all new posts that you haven't read yet.

new posts shows the new posts for me and today's posts show something different (for me anyway). From my end it seems to be working...

Same here. This is the only forum that I use, where the posts that I have read dissappear from that list. I wish the new posts feature on all forums was like that.

It seems different on my end. Like if I find an old thread and post on it...it shows up in both. Regardless if I've read it or not.

Basically, "new posts" should list all topics which have had posts since your last visit, and "today's posts" should list all topics which have had posts since midnight (i think) or in the last 24 hours (i don't think this is correct but I'm listing it as a possibility). Your own posts should not make something appear in "new posts". Having said that, you have to be logged into your account for the new posts to work properly - after all, the forum can't be 100% who you are without you telling it by logging in.

Generally speaking the two may well have very similar posts IF you haven't logged in since the previous day, especially if you happened to last be logged in close to midnight.
