Escapist is having many rounds to determine the best game developer out there. Zynga (farmville) has been killing it with seven wins under their belt. Well, the voting is happening on facebook (where almost all the zynga crap is), so it's a little unfair if you ask me, especially considering that the people who love valve (like me) probably get their social networking from somewhere else or just don't care for facebook (like me).

So, Valve released the word via the update news that they wanted people to go vote. After that the escapist forums crashed.

Unfortunately, we're still only at 48.7% :( ..come to think of it, Zynga's probably got stuff on Facebook telling people to vote for them too...

Yeah, that's the problem. I voted through facebook, so how many regular facebook people are going to vote for Valve? None of them. They're all flash casual zombie gamers. The fact that this is the closest it's been so far is amazing to me.

I don't get why they're even trying to compare the two companies... one makes crappy internet games and the other makes more innovative and interesting games.
