so yesterday... as i was installing linux on my brother in laws PS3...
my computer mysteriously shut off on its own..
i tried to boot it... and the power light would come on...
but it wouldnt boot (nothing on the screen)
HDD light was flickering repeatedly... not like it was accessing data... but rly rly fast without an actual off period
from what i could tell.. it was a heat issues.. yesterday it was VERY hot in my apt..
so i tried to cool it down.... see if it would boot..
didnt work :(
from what i saw it was a PSU issues... so seeing as i havent the cash for a new one... it was time to pull this puppy apart :)
found one of the caps blew... so to replace 2 it would been about $8...
i do have that... but i would rather spend it a bit more wisely (g/f defines wisely as not computer related lol)
so i dug thro my boxes.. and actually found 2 of the same caps in another dead PSU...(dead because i took all the wires off and converted it to a 360PSU) tested both... installed both... and now my computer is just chuggin along :)
