Hey guys, totally out of curiousity...about how many photos do you usually take during mod construction? I know my example's a bit extreme, but during the last 3 years I've snapped at least 530 pics (and counting). I say at least because I don't save all of them - some are out of focus, some are redundant, etc etc.
Of those 530 I've uploaded about 416 to my photobucket account, although I don't think I've put anywhere near all of them in the worklog.

and the original 2 crawlers I built? 20 pics of the first one, and 52 of the second. That's it. Seems rather paltry, no? LOL

the more the better, imo

Barsarkar-gang 495 photos uploaded out of 1600 photos shot + video
Cobramatic 350 photos uploaded with the fan tutorial and the speaker project. I'm guessing that I shot double that.

I have a hard time stopping to take proper photos when I want to be modding. I'll usually take two or three of each shot I want and then upload only the best from there.

I have no idea atm. I've been working on Thor for so long that I have pictures scattered across multiple different folders on my computers but I've definitely taken over 400. I've put some in photobucket already but I've got to get them all in to start a worklog. When I do a review I typically take 50+ and post a good chunk of those. My theory is the more detail the better!

yeah, me too. I also feel a bit silly with my girlfriend not-quite-laughing at me as I snap away during the process of building LOL. But mostly, when I really get in a groove I don't like to put down what I'm doing to take a pic. Trying to be better about it though, as it really helps everyone else when viewing a worklog.

Heh, I know the feeling. I try and post and shots of any important work, but all too often completely forget and end up dismantling stuff to get 'in progress' shots. :P I'm considering maybe getting something like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-DV-DVR-Spy-Sun-glasses-Camera-Audio-Video-Recorder_W0QQitemZ180491143830QQcmdZViewItemQQptZC amcorders_Professional_Video_Cameras?hash=item2a06 1c4a96) so I won't have to worry about that. ;)

For Project: LEXA I uploaded and used about 730 photos with another 70 for my LEXA Revival mini mod.

I wouldn't mind doing some time laps stuff to make it easier. I find that sometimes I post a lot of pictures and then nobody responds for several days, so I figure 'screw it' and just take pic of what I want for me.

I'm also guilty of dismantling to get an "in progress" shot.

Heheh, I know the feeling. I know whenever I'm working on a buildlog and I do a huge update that nobody responds to it makes me kinda depressed about it. :( That's why I always try and at least post something along the lines of 'looks good, keep it up', read, 'I am friggin tired and my brain isn't really working, but I'll feel guilty if I don't say something' :P

so very true - I get exactly the same way when I do a big update, especially one that for me is momentus (like finishing my WC loop...which means that after 3 long years on this crawler and 10 years total if you count all 3...major overhauls of the computer and interior design are done) anyway, when I do a big post like that and nobody responds, it's kinda like oh...I guess nobody cares :( It's ok though, that ain't gonna slow me down now LOL. But thanks to X88X for at least the short posts - they may be quick dashes to you, but they're still meaningful.
BTW, I'm up to 603 photos now :D

After each 'stage' - every time I put the tool down - I'll take a photo. No idea what they actually add up to, though. I won't stop just to take a photo, but if I'm letting the Dremel cool down or waiting for paint to dry, totally.

I have just under 300 photo's of Lobo to date, and I figure it's about 20% complete.... I've probably edited, resized and uploaded maybe 40 or 50 of those
