Not sure where the best place for this is so I'll put it here. Being that I'm not very competant or literate with electronic bits I'm having a hard time finding a part I need for a power inverter. To me it looks like a resistor  it has a gray ceramic appearing body with 5 painted bands black, brown, black, silver, brown. I need 2 of these if anyone knows what they are and where I can get a pair it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Pictures would be great!

It sounds like a resistor. Those bands would indicate the specs; are they in that order?
Also, pics would help a lot.

It sounds like a resistor but 5 color band resistor can not start with black or end with black. Some inductors were made in radial ceramic packages. A photo will help a lot.

I have a ton of .1ohm resistors of that wattage size. If you connect 2 of them in a series it would equal .2ohm. If you want some just let me know and I will throw some in an envelope and send them your way for free.
