Just picked up a black 360 wireless controller with the PC wireless adapter at Best Buy for $42.99 + tax instead of the standard $67 if and when they have them.
I've been looking for the adapter in order to use the controller on the PC, along with the racing wheel and found this. Amazon has just the adapter for $30 from a bunch of places I haven't heard of. So 13$ more, no risk, and you get the wireless controller seemed pretty good to me.
YYMV though, as I've been looking for a while waiting for Best Buy to get them in and they haven't had them nor the adapter itself for months.
