their first version of the x conect seris ha unstable rails and killed alot of peoples components, but i hear that their new version is pretty good( and it looks sweet too)

1st version I see 2 die on hand w/one taking the computer with it.
I also seen 1 work well for a year then die off.
4th one I know about is still working.

One that took the computer out made it so the owner would not trust modular PSU's

Thanks guys. I'm lookin to buy the x, but if it sucks, then I will go with This one (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_modstream_power_supply) as someone I know has recommended it

that modstream is a very good power supply and that what i would get, but still for the record the new x connects are suposed to be pretty good.

Antec Neo HE 550 also ie rated a very good PSU

Public: Even if they were all 1 gen .. Wouldn't that make you worry about the companies Quality of Service.

^^^ you mean like why didnt they replace them? If so yea i agree, in my book their on the lever of hipro and athena power, but if i was given one for free i would probably use one.

had two 500w ultra x-connect uv blues short out on me after 3 months, and one blow up after 3 hours. their customer service is weak and clueless as well.

I saw that there is a new one also, anyone have experience with it?
