I found a new hobby that's cheap and rewarding... searching ebay for ending soon-penny listings with cheap/free shipping.

I just set the search to a max of 3 dollars in electronics or computers and set the listings to ending soonest.

So far I've purchased a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable for .01 shipped free (received it today), and that 6" F-M usb cable I was looking for for .15 shipped! Everywhere I could find one was $4+

It's fun for me and so far everything has worked perfect and the quality didn't seem bad. Granted, some will be crap with sharp molding, superglue'd parts yada yada but for .01-.15 cents, I could care less. I've come across some pretty useful things like 50 LED retainers, lot of 100 laptop screws and other stuff for a penny.

I also found a lot of 10 green 5mw pen lasers for 8 dollars... but the guy refunded me and the price jumped up to $79.50. Bummer.

I got 5000 1k8 resistors from Digi-Key for $.004 each :)

Purchased one of those retractable usb cables and it causes everything to be an "unknown usb device." Nothing works. Sweet. []m[]
