Yeah, first off I would clean up all of those cables! Secondly I would get a case designed for microATX motherboards, or whatever yours is!
Peace

thanks guys, i know i need to tidy my cables and as for the motherboard designed or my case, well thats how it came. All i have put into that pc so far is a new graphics card, some more RAM and a DVD-RW its a really terrible pc but like i said im skint and cant afford a new one. i got a few hundred in a bank i might have to spend on a new motherboard and CPU i think. any sugestions on good motherboards or CPU's that dont cost a fortune. I use my pc mainly for gaming if that is any help.

Opteron 144. Great CPU from AMD, overclocks to give FX-57 performance with the correct cooling (and if you're lucky). Check www.scan.co.uk . Also as it's fairly new check compatibility with whatever mobo you pick. It was about £100 when i bought some but the price was rising so i don't know if it's still a good deal. But it's a good chip, with 1MB of L2 cache. Sweeeeeet. Comes clocked at 1.8 but like i said, can be overclocked like a bitch all the way to +3000 speeds.

thanks dave that helps alot :) the CPU is currently 134.47 so yeah its gone up a bit i was thinking about this motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=17227812386&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=101701
would that be compatible they are both socket939 but i am a total noob when it comes to anything more complicated than sticking extra RAM in :p im learning alot tho and browsing these forums everyday helps ALOT. So thanks to every one on forum. ;)

Might not support the opteron. It's not on the supported CPU list. (http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=0&model=375&modelmenu=1) It should work, but i'd e-mail them or phone them first.
