Increased power limits allow for a range up to 5000m...

That is AWESOME. lol

Too bad the public doesn't get to use it. Although, I doubt anyone realistically could. Probably requires a ton of power to use.

Anyways, thought that was pretty neat.

That's odd... I have one of those routers... I also have DD-WRT installed... I've also thought about adding a fan and giant antenna's in those exact locations...

What the hell am I waiting for!?

Actually, I've already over-clocked the processor and amplified the TX signal by a bit, but heeding the warning of the extra amount of heat, I only did a small over-clock and did no more than double the TX signal.

I don't really need to do either though. There's no real benefit for me, I just did it because I thought it'd be cool. haha

This will be good to figure out how to install that fan, though. I've always wanted to do that, just to make it live longer and to push it to its limits. The Antenna's though, I've looked through Amazon and they all have bad reviews, so don't know if those actually work or not? Hmmm.

Too bad there aren't, like, powered amplifiers that you could put in between the antenna's and the router. That'd be awesome. I have one for me TV and it works pretty well.

Actually, there are. I had one that boosted 500mW
