What should I make my case out of? and where to get it?

I am building my own case and am looking for a cheap material to use. I was thinking Lexan or Lucite since I heard plexiglass was expensive. I also heard that Lexan is also really expensive but my friend said he paid 10-15 buck for a big enough slab for like a side and front from menards. I am just asking for suggestions and if they have seen it anywhere for cheap. Local stores prefered im located in northwest indiana kinda by valpo/crown point. im not glueing the pieces together either so that isn't a worry.

how much are you expecting to spend? Plexi is not that expensive.

i was thinking like 15 at maximum a large sheet and im gonna need two because im making a cube case so im thinking $30 max for the sheets.
