Awesome.
($40 off with BRD2536)
Nice. Archos has a long history of making kickass media tablets (think along the same lines as the iPod Touch, but they've been making them for years), so I'm sure this is pretty awesome too.
More recently, they released the Archos 5 media tablet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archos_5#Archos_5), which is also pretty freakin awesome.

I'd rather spend $300 and get any standard Netbook. Why do these things cost so much? Even with the addition of the touch screen, it shouldn't be over $400?

^Agreed. I'd RATHER have a physical keyboard and closing lid to protect the screen when not in use. Not to mention some netbooks last more than 5 hours on a charge.

Yeah, I prefer an actual keyboard too. And honestly, a tablet is kinda awkward to use. The clamshell design is just so much easier to use, imo. It's also beneficial in other ways, too. I think the Tablet is probably going to do not so well, aside from the iPad.
Some? Which ones get 5 or under? lol These things get crazy batter life. Check out this one...

A bit pricey compared to others, but not too bad. You can get the other Asus 1005HA with 10.5 Hours of Battery Life for like $330 I believe. Then the $300 model is 8.5 Hours I think.
Love Netbooks for this one reason. Well, that and price.
The tablet form factor is great for a few things...unfortunately, most of the time most people are using a computer they're not doing one of those things... Like most things, they have their niche, I just don't think that niche is gonna be going mainstream any time soon.

Actually, I really like their internet tablet (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5317315&csid=ITD&body=MAIN) more.
Cheaper and a bigger HD

Ohh, this looks cool. Little underpowered for my use, my 10" EEEpc is a lot more useful for me. Then again I use my netbook more than I use my desktop.

Yep, and Asus (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220682&cm_re=asus_netbook-_-34-220-682-_-Product) has one that has a 14hr battery too. Till these tabs/pads get that kind of battery life they're no interest to me.
