i was just sitting here wondering flipping back and forth from some websites. and i realized this is a great site, but its missing a benchmark section.
so i was wondering what it would take to get something like that set up. i mean you could have users benchmark what they have and submit the scores for there hardware.
this idea dawned on me when i read the hybrid drive thread on here.

Well, we have some benchmarks going in the CPU zone. I personally am in charge of the 4Ghz club. (I think I am also the only member :P )

There is one problem with a continuance additive forum, you would want to need to have room to grow rather than need room to fill. If TBCS keeps adding forums it's going to start looking empty. This forum is great because it's a small but large population. It get alot of views and attention, however only the mainstream members post plentiful. Some people come on here just to post their computer builds, and not to contribute to the chatter, or newer sections like the microcentral.

you have a very good point. but i don't mean have it as a forum where people can post i mean have it as something you can navigate threw.

There's already a place to post benchmarks on the site, only for overall scores though (at the bottom):

Maybe this feature could be expanded?

We have discussed an overclocking section before so maybe we could do an Overclocking / Benchmarking section. I will bring it up with the staff and see what we can come up with. No promises though.

Maybe once entries are submitted it can be added into an overall member chart. So each benchmark can be broken down, CPU, RAM, HDD R/W, GPU, etc. Then under each category organize them from best to worst. lol

a member database might be possible soon. I could set something up and manually add entries.
