I am working on a RAM review that uses AMD OverDrive to download and install custom memory profiles for special AMD Black Edition RAM. I have the latest version of OverDrive but can not get it to download any memory profiles.

As far as I know, CJ, that simply does not work.

Contact the company and get them to send them to you. AOD is horribly buggy, and should only be used for in-Windows final bumps. If that.

Yeah I've actually never got it to do what it's supposed to. It just automatically crashes my system as soon as I change any setting...

Well you do have to have an AOD ready black edition CPU. There are only 3 available to my knowledge. The Phenom II X4 955 BE, Phenom II X4 965BE, and the Phenom II X6 1090T BE. This ram is one of 2 or 3 sets available that allows AOD Black Edition profiles too.

Overdrive is how i found the special setting my 955 needs to run at 3.7Ghz instead of 3.5Ghz

sure is scary watching it, and the time it takes finding the OC is ridiculousness
