It's not a scratch but more of a blemish in the clear coat. Is there a way to polish this out? I tried waterless car wax and it only slightly fished the problem.

Anyone have any tips on how to repair?

I read car polish/wax may do the trick but I feel this may be more for scratches.

I tried turtle wax, dust cleaner, alcohol, waterless wax but it only seems slightly better. It's only noticeable when light is directly on it.

Here's some pics, note the light grossly exaggerates it but it should help give you guys a better idea.

Maybe a clear coat pen for auto repairs?

Definitely going to pick some up later today. I sold my 9" monitor on ebay and listed it as 100% new condition which it SHOULD have been. I used it a couple of times, never touched it and had a hard cover faceplate on it the rest of the time but it somehow got these marks! No idea how!!

Get some 3M fine cut rubbing compound, and then some polishing compound. It should be like new after.

Would I need to buy a dremel and buffing pad? (I gave my dremel away when I went to boot thinking I'd be gone for a year and a half from boot to MCT to MOS school.)

No, you can polish it just like you're spit shining.

You can also try brasso metal polish - sounds odd but it's about the best thing for polishing clear acyrilic/plexi so there's really no reason it wont do a good job here too...
