Go USA!

Article (http://g.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/world-cup/news/student-s-video-tribute-to-donovan-a-hit--fbintl_ro-videodonovan062510.html) that went with the video

Warning: Lots of screaming (of course)

I watched the video and was surprised they actually had more than USA ;P
And for those wondering, France and South Africa.

But all that excitement over an over-paid person kicking a pig skin ball into a white net.... never understood it.

I don't get it either crenn. It would make much more sense if it was played with a brown oblong pig skin ball that was kicked through a goal post or ran into the endzone.

Since when does the US care about boring soccer?

I'm not much of a sports person, but I do enjoy Hockey.

It's cold in the arena, so you aren't sweating in discomfort from the blistering sun. And if you're lucky, there'll be blood.

I've seen both teams skate out onto the ice and duke it out before. It was pretty great.

Ah let's not get into the whole FOOT - BALL thing - at least with english football (yeah you can call it soccer if you like) the two parts of the word are geniunely related as the main part of the game!! Foot-ball - football - use the foot, on the ball - it really isn't THAT hard a concept to grasp is it? "Uh, uh, here pick it up n throw it - they might call it throw-ball one day!!!"

Did anyone else watch the game today? For all those who have not heard, we lost to Ghana 2-1 in overtime. It was a little disappointing, but I did not expect the US to get very far anyway.

lol...no. I will break it in half.

I'm not much of a sports person...
I'm not a sports person at all. Watching someone else chase a ball on a field does not excite me in any way whatsoever. I guess I just don't understand why it would... My dog sure does enjoy it though!:D

You have no idea. I was thinking the same thing but apparently it's the new trendy sport for college kids. It's ****ing annoying.

I understand everyone has their teams but I damn near vomited when I see groups of kids saying "**** u USA go Ghana putos!!!!!" -direct quote

I asked what made him such an anti-USA fan and said he reminded me of one of those annoying raider fans because it's the cool thing to do.

I got this in response in a facebook post from one of his female friends.
"Why are they hating on you? Oh wait, it's cause the USA lost lol."

I personally love soccer, but I completely agree with you. I watched the US/Ghana game at a sports bar that was packed with people watching the game, and it was awful. People were screaming at every little thing, and the worst part was that 3/4 of the people had no idea what they were talking about. If people want to yell at the ref they should be required to read the rule book first.
