The only way to get any response out of this phone is to take out the battery, put it back in and then plug it in. The Samsung screen flashes for about a second or two then it just turns off and you can't get any response out of it until you repeat the process.
Anyone know what's the deal?

Try re-flashing it? There are always button combination to enter recovery mode and such.

I tried doing a hard reset, but nothing happened at all. The device won't power on at all.
It's been sitting in a box for about 6 months since it was last used.

...Not neccessarily. It's almost definitely software, so software upgrade it, your phone doesn't neccessarily need to 'turn on', it just needs to be receiving power.

Alright, so now whenever I plug it in it just turns on and off, on and off, etc. It doesn't go further than the Samsung splash screen though.
I thought it might be the battery, so I took it out and plugged it in and it just showed the splash screen and then turned off. (this was before it started going through that loop)
It's a Samsung Saga. I tried doing the button combination method but that didn't do anything either.

Isn't it a bit suspicious to have a Samsung Saga for sale (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?p=294721) at the same time as having an active thread about that your Samsung Saga isn't working :D?

Yeah I was intending to update that post with a temporary hold on the item until I can figure this out.
But no, not really suspicious. I didn't realize there was this problem at the time of that post. It was working fine last I used it, I don't know what could have happened between then and now.

Sweet! Found the charger and now it works just fine. Can someone unlock the 4sale thread?
Edit: Woah! I didn't know I could do that... lmao It's okay folks, I've only been here since like 2005... XD
