eeek! Looks pretty cool! - Not realy my kinda thing though, as I prefer realistic fps games. To me it seems a little too 'mech warrior'. It also looks very unfinished.
But maybe thats just me :P

I love Mechwarrior.
I still have one machine on win98 so I can play it with my old Saitek X36F/X35T. The teaser seemed a little rough and the premise (a new ice age) seemed lame but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief in order to hop into 100 tons of steel and blast things to subatomic bits.

I'd sacrifice quite bit to be able to do that! Don't think i saw any proper in-game footage there, appart from a few brief seconds. Also, terrain looks plain and unconvincing. Although the models were decent and moved in a good manner.

I don't think this well be any more of a Mech game as BF2 is a tank game. I would imagine there will be plenty of running around etc.. I will have to check it out when its released. Honestly I didn't care for BF:1942 or BF:Vientnam, INMO Americas Army Ops, looked and played better at the time. So when BF2 came out I really didn't pay attention to it. A friend of mine showed me BF2 and I was pleasently surprised. So I guess I will have to hold judgement until its released.. :)

I will buy the game but only because i love BF2 so much, im not really into futuristic games but hey maybe this will be the one that makes me change my mind. does anyone else think that the robot things on the very last few senconds of that clip look like the robot out of the PS1 game futercop?

I dunno... another ice age sounds convincing to me... besides, it looks as if this game is in it's late Alpha stage anyway. I wouldn't comment on how it looks/plays untill they release a trailer with at least a Beta build of the game.

I love bf2, regardless of what anyone says about it it IS a good game, even if there are many bugs which havn't been fixed yet, it is perfectly enjoyable and playable!
and I cant wait to play bf 2142!!! After reading an article about it and the weapons and vehicles it sounds AWESOME!
New game modes too! :)
I guess that only time will tell how well this game plays.
