My teacher of Micro-Processor Interfacing told he had a bunch of old computers that he was going to have recycled. I told him instead of spending money to possibly have them recycled, just give them to me. So he did. Four computers in all; 1 is a Full tower case (that I may give away in another contest), and 3 are mid-towers. Here's the pics:

haha sweet. I got about 3 computers from my dads office when they upgraded. Unfortunatly the were old P3's. Solt processors....With the PSU infront of the heatsink/CPU, so unless I want to completely redesign the case they are useless.

I have some in an old dos machine - the ram chips are the size of lego bricks! :D
That full tower would be great for an lcd screen! you could put it in the top half and wouldnt even need to worry about moving its converter board and psu!

i prefur full towers, easier to mod, less juggeling about, AND OMG, FAST PAGE MEMORY (EDO) i thought i was the only owner of that stuff, and P3 slot 1's are bril processors

That blue heat sink is a work of art. I like it.

lol that full tower is similar to the server case I'm using now. I had to take the casters off just to fit it under my desk. Lots of room in it even with the hammock above the PSU.

Fix that one up to be water cooled and it could double as a hot tub. Fire it up and invite the neighbors over. j/k

That one withthe LCD. I think you'll find it's an LED display. It has a turbo switch too, right? Back in the good old days you could use the turbo to slow the computer down for running games written for older machines which would run too fast on newer ones. The display would be wired to display the clock speed. It didn't actually measure anything, it was controlled by the turbo LED output of the motherboard and only had two states. It could be wired to say anything you like in either condition.

The usual thing would be, if your computer was a 50MHz (mine was overclocked to 66..) you would make the display read 99 to make some people believe it really was 99MHz. ;)
