So i was playing on my gf's new macbook pro, and when i scrolled (2 fingers) and "flung" the scroll (for lack of a better term) the page kept moving like the ipod touch does. So im back on my mac, and i realize it wont do it. Did i disable an option? does anyone even know what its called? I want it bad, cuz now that ive tried it im addicted to it, especially for forums because its just so much nicer to go down the page on a long thread... Any ideas?

What version of OSX are you running? Same as what is on your girlfriend's Pro?

The "inertial scrolling" as I think apple calls it is a new feature on their most recent macbooks only, as far as I know.

There's an app for that.. I'm sure of it. Haha.. My Dell XPS M1210 has inertial scrolling (though not multitouch) and it's from 2006. :)

Put linux on it, write your own drivers. Problem solved.

I would say the HP Envy, but I have not heard much good about the trackpad. I'm pretty sure it beats the macbooks hardware wise though.

i always took "less then a inch thick" as a nice way of saying "it breaks easy"
