what to get?

hello the wonderful people of tbcs!!!

i need some help.

should i either get another 4870 and a 2 gig kit of gskill ram or get a 4850 and get something like a 4 gig kit to go with my gskill or just use it on its own.

im having issues deciding. will i really see that big of a performance gain from 6 gigs opposed to 4 gigs.

or would it be faster if i got 2 kits of this

i say 2 kits so i can have 4 gb with out mixing my ram.

or should i just get 2 gigs and a 4870. either way i want either that ram or the patriot gaming ram.

sorry to ask so much but there is alot im confused about and this may be my last upgrade for quite some time. im thinking maybe 2-4 years.

personally, if you are planning on waiting that long to upgrade and already have 4 gb of ram, i would go with a newer card (DX11) as you are going to see alot more games that support the standard in the next few years, so the upgrade would age more gracefully

naw i dont really want a 5770 or a newer card id like to just get another one of these and cross fire them. but i don't have 4 gigs of ram i have 2 gb sorry if that wasn't clear.

OH! that changes everything... Go for the crossfire, then another 2 gb of ram at the least, the more the merrier!

hmm ok thanks now the other question should i get a 4870 or a 4850. 4 1gb stick or 2 2gb stick. i have to get all new ram cuz my g skill dosent run at 1066 like its suppose to and it died on me before so i had to get g skill to replace it. but oh well ill be doing away with it soon hopefully.
