yeah the monitor is not a flat panel it is however practically new i have never used it

the price of the monitor is still not worth it. Just an amazon search came up with this

Just for clarification: unless i'm wrong, CRT means Cathode Ray Tube. It's the same technology you get in a television, where electrons are guided by magnetic plates, and hit the phosphor paint on the back of the screen. Because of this, you can't make a CRT which is flat. It's not technically feasibile. This is why, in the land before flat panel, if you wanted a screen bigger than 28" you were stuck with a projection TV: the cathode tube pointed downwards to save you from having a TV which was so far away from the wall it just wasnt funny.

I have a whole call center full of them.. Dell Trinitron P991's The front glass is flat rather then having the slight curve to them. They are all about 8 years old. So they do make flat CRT screens. I can provide some pics if that will help clear things up.

I had a Toshiba 40"+ TV (cant remember) that was flat... It was not projection, my dad hates 'em with a passion!! And the only other TV technology at the time, was CRT.
