Grenade USB Project

I mostly work on Xbox 360 Case Mods, as part of one of them a Call of Duty Black Ops themed Ammo Box, i thought i would do something different with the USB.

Bought this toy Cap Grenade for $3

I had a quick go of it, for testing purposes only

Got the dremel out and cut the base out and pulled out the weight inside

Light coat of primer to help see all the imperfections.

Now i need to find a spare usb stick to put inside. Progress soon

It looks like hollow plastic, so not too much. I was thinking the same thing.. weight hanging on the USB port is not a good idea, but if it's a top mount port, it would be ok. :)

Too bad the USB connector isnt retractable.

^Indeed. Kind of too big for your pocket though. What capacity drive did you use?

Didnt see the replie,s, it is a top mount USB so i don't have to worry about the weight. It is hollow plastic so the weight is kept down. Heres some more pictures. Finished. Not bad for a quick project. The ring definatly finishes it off.

definetly might have to attempt this some time down the road. Although I might stick a 256gb Kingston drive in mine. Nice mod, hope to see more from you down the road.

Thanks for the idea...I'm going to use a surplus inert baseball type frag grenade for this.
