so recently my wifes laptop died on us so we went and got her a new one and being the modder that i am i decided i wanted to integrate her old screen into my desk to run with my desktop heres the big question coming off the screen are 3 cords i know for sure what one is (the ground kinda hard not to know that one ) the other 2 im not so sure about i surmise the 6 pin one is for power and the other which is 30 pin i assume is for signal to and from the computer it was connected to a header labeled cn 15 does anybody know how i can convert this to either D-sub or Dvi? if you want to see the plug or need model numbers or anything please ask.

It doesn't really work that way. The LCD panel accepts a LVDS signal. So you will need a separate controller. In the past they have been more expensive then just buying a complete monitor. EarthLCD used to carry them, not sure what there selection is like now.
http://www.earthlcd.com there are probably some other companies, I just don't know of any off hand.
