These things are getting cheaper every day. Good deal if the rebates come-I have had so-so luck with CC's rebates. You can get it here (http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=118284&cm_keycode=85)

That same drive costs equivalent of $100 in the UK; SATA, 7200, 8MB cache. (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Products.asp?CatID=16&Category=Hard+Drives&ThumbNails=Yes&FilterCategories=167&FilterManufacturers=50&FilterMinPrice=&FilterMaxPrice=&FilterKeywords=)

Rebates are over as of 3/25/06:mad:

What brand was that 80GB? Could not find any info on it. What about the 2MB cache:p Also what about a warranty? Thats why I buy Seagate-five year, count 'em, five year warranty:D My logic is: if it moves, it will fail-sooner or later-better have a warranty-and for Pete's sake back up you stuff!

The 200GB I got for $30 was still under rebate...but do not fear, they have this sale very often, but very random..so check often. 8mb cache, 5 year warranty, 7200, everything perfect about it
