I was up to 80 something pps but I edited stuff and ruined my two legged spider thing. Maybe I should read the instructions. lol

Got to the end of the scale at 157px/s

I hate you
don't get the point of it really other than building something and seeing how many generations it takes until it won't grow anymore

I had one that got 568 score on level 48 or so generation, and went 1500 pix then fell on its face lol. the fastest one I had averaged 135p/s

Just got one up to skill score 880+ by generation 80. This one should turn out well. I'll post a screen of it when I decide to quit letting this thing evolve.
Edit: Just broke 1000 right around generation 100. Takes a little bit to process each generation, but obviously it's worth it.

So are the fastest ones usually ugly as hell? I tried making something like a 2 legged crap that had joints and such but couldnt get it to work correctly. It'd start out ok but end up going -3px/s or something stupid.

Mine I would say is pretty elegant. There's a lot of really confusing connections between nodes, so going back is really hard and I usually have to start over, but I'd say it looks pretty darn good. I'd take it out to generation 500 in most cases though. The last one I had a top performance of 1044 and hit it around generation 100, but I took it out to 500 to make sure another big succession of jumps happened out a ways.
One I'm doing now is more or less the same (I'll post a screen I swear) and is at 945 and at generation 250, so I'm not sure it's going to do much more. It's weird how this goes though. I wish when I clicked 'view generation' that I could go back to the little calculator thing instead of back to editor or resetting the dumb simulator.
Edit: Newest revision got to 1080+ by generation 70 and then went up to 1100+ around generation 130.

The best I've done is 1056 performance and 204px/s. However, I regenerated the exact same thing and now it doesn't work the same way and the performance score didn't even reach half of that. I went back to the editor and regenerated it again and it topped out at 78 after 250 generations...the 1056 was after like 110 generations.
I'm not exactly sure how this is supposed to work.

Mine topped out at 1250, 270px/s average speed to end.
Interesting. As you say if I go back to the editor, do nothing, and then generate the animation again the results are somewhat similar, but can be very different final numbers. I'm sure since there are "generations" of the machine that there is a level of randomness that can't be accounted for.

That's mine; is it supposed to just walk infinitely?

Here's a quick cap of the general idea.
