Hi,

Does anyone know of a source for a simple very plain cube style case suitable for modding?

I'm looking for something without any cutout panels for optical drives etc.

If no such case is available, can anyone suggest a custom manufacturer in the UK?

Thanks,
Steve

Being honest, i don't think you're going to find what you need unless you make it yourself. Which isn't as bad as you might think.

But then again, your description is pretty vague. Is it metal, perspex, ATX, mini-ATX, or you going for a barebone system idea?

cube cases are generaly expensive. You can probably make one with some Aluminium angle channel and plexi or sheet metal for pretty cheap though.

Hi,

Sorry for being vague. I'm thinking metal mini-atx. Think NeXT cube but with a featureless smooth surface.

Actually, i saw these 'Hoojum' cases a while back. Not to my personal tastes but sounds just like what you describe.

Scan's Hoojum cases (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Products.ASP?CatID=7&FilterCategories=361&Thumbnails=yes)

If that's what your looking for, then good luck, let us know if it's good or not. :D
