I have one that breaks down to two pieces, well three if you count the fore grip, but I am not going to post pictures because all you hippie freaks will yell about it being illegal jk. But anyway I am really not posting pictures in order for me to be able to plead the fifth in case it ever gets seized.

Just when I thought there were no other hobbies... haha.

That's pretty interesting but it seems like such a waste of money.

That is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. What a shame such a talented metalworker isn't making anything useful.

Post pics of a gun that 'most likely belongs to someone else'. I'm curious and not a hippie!:D

I think the puzzle itself is cool, but it would be a lot cooler if it transformed into anything but a useless, muzzle-loading pistol. According to artists that I know, art doesn't have to make sense, doesn't have to mean anything, doesn't have to be useful, and the definition of 'art' is very loose and murky. Judging from his website, I'd say the metalworking was a hobby he turned into a business while real estate was his trade.

Owning a gun isn't a bad thing, owning the ammo to said gun is! :P

Zip gun? I um.. didn't make a .22 attachment for a pen-flare gun. :whistler:

Not a zip gun this was a legal 410 at one point in time... lets just say hearing protection is seriously advised with a 410 3 1/2 magnum shells out of an approximately 8 inch barrel.

Interesting sculpture, but I think you would probably do more damage to an intruder by just throwing the whole thing at them. :P

You may want to look at the ballistic energy of a .45 and the kind of damage it can do before you say that.

I meant that given the starting state of the sculpture, and the presumably hour+ to disassemble it, get the parts for the gun out, assemble the gun, and load it...that it would be more effective to just throw the assembled sculpture.

EDIT:
Or swing it...that would make a nice bludgeon too.

i kind of wondered if that was not the intention of your comment.. at that point though you may be right because it will send them back through the door whence they came just as a 45 would.
