Sure he does tons of sci-fi appearances, but his real money flow comes from Priceline.com. When he started working for them he agreed to be paid only in company shares, which at the time were only worth $20 each. Now Priceline has come a very long way and what's Shatner's shares worth?

Anyone who works for a publically listed company can pay themselves in shares lol - all you do is buy a few with your spare money from your paycheck :p
