I just watched the commercial for Google TV on youtube and I have to say it seems... well... retarded. Why would you buy a separate box that you need to connect to the TV when you can simply use the TV as a separate monitor for youur computer (via scart, hdmi, vga, dvi) which I have been doing for years? That way you can do all the things you would be able to with Google TV and A LOT more without having to buy another gizmo. The thing that does seem nice is the search function and access to a lot of media quickly, but that's also available on you computer even if not made-by-google.
Who knows though, maybe the Apple fanboys will get some friends in form of Google fanboys in a few years.. or year. ^^
