hi all... im new to modding (just put a window in my case), and i noticed that some people were using ps1 lcd screens to put in there case... now i know how to do that but i was wondering if i would be able to use a gamecube or ps2 screen instead of a ps1 screen...if so are there any guides? any help will be appreciated.

Welcome...

If it's still an LCD screen, it should have the same ribbon cable/power/etc, right? I haven't seen the cables for the GC or PS2 screen, but if the internals are the same there shouldn't be any difference. Guys help me out here if I'm wrong, thanks.

The reason people use the PSOne screen is that it can quickly be moddified to run via a VGA port, giving it a much higher resolution than the others. A Gamecube screen can be used but only if you use componant video, so you probably wouldn't be able to play high res games or do word processing, but if you want it to display a visualiztion for music or a music video it would be fine.

If you are using a Gamecube screen for a mod, make sure no capacitors fall off yhr internals.

*looks at gamecube screen and one BIG capacitor*.

Yeah, thats a problem.
