Hey guys, what site can i migrate my photos to in order to get rid of my overage with photobucket?
I use IMGboot.com (http://www.imgboot.com/) for some of my stuff, either when I can't get to photobucket or when I expect to have a lot of traffic (they offer unlimited traffic). One thing I don't like about them (and like at the same time) is that they don't support automatically resizing your images on upload, and I don't think you can change them once they're up, so you have to resize your images to the size you want before you upload them.
EDIT:
I just checked, and apparently with the free accounts they have a max file size of 5MB and a max resolution of 1024x768. If your file size is too large they just don't let you upload it, but if the resolution is too large they automatically resize it. ...though, I have an image on there that's 1600x1212..only 189.2kB though, so maybe it's changed since I got my account or if the file size is small enough they don't care..or something?
EDIT2:
I also just checked, and apparently free accounts are limited to uploading jpeg, jpg, gif, png, and bmp files.
..you know what, here's the whole metric so I can stop editing and adding stuff :P

Second Photobucket?
I used to have 4 or 5 accounts, then I said what the hell and just paid for pro. That was back when the limit was like 25MBs or some ridiculous amount.

What does a pro account cost? You could get a cheap monthly webhosting package for like $2-3/month and just FTP your photos to your directory.

This. Just add the ftp server as a network location and drop the files in. Voila!

Even better.. go to 000webhost.com. You don't get a ton of space, but you do get a free domain name and hosting.

just signed up :D
Just thought of another option. Set up a LAMP server at home. Use DYNDNS for routing.

This violates most residential ISP user agreements, unfortunately. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, just...watch out.

25 a year, I'm pretty sure. I have a domain, and it's hosted on my friend's account on GoDaddy I think. PB was easier back then to me and now I have a lot of stuff linked to it and don't really feel like transfering everything.
*Edit: Yeah $25 a year, or $40 for 2 years. (I do the $40)
