I have no crucial data that would require such drastic storage precautions, and yet... I want it! I could buy it right now. This is an excellent self-control experiment for me. I wonder if I can resist...:)

Why resist? You work hard and deserve this drive. You know that you do. Ordering is easy. In just a couple of clicks it could be yours. All yours

Haha! +rep brett.
If I don't buy any food this week, don't put gas in the car, and don't pay any bills, I could get a few of these! You know, to save money on shipping rather than get them separately...

Excellent idea! It's predicted that we'll all be storing massively more data in a few years time, so you're going to need it sooner or later. And while per-GB costs have been falling steadily, it's always possible that the trend will be reversed. So, yeah, buy now. And buy as much as you possibly can!
