Nice speeds on that! It sounds great for smartphones and other similar small devices.

Not to mention laptops - put 10 to 20 of these little guys in at 64GB each, they'd probably take up a lot less space than even a standard SSD...
And heck, the current PCI-e SSDs are on extended-sized cards. with these little guys you could fit a ton onto a standard size card...man I can't wait til this tech matures more :)

 Oh! I misread the article when I look at it yesterday; I thought it said 4-6GB, not 4-64GB! Wow! Yeah, let's get, say, 4 of those on a full-size mini-PCIe with an integrated RAID controller. ..heheh, or in the desktop market...well, let's just say the cards can be a lot bigger.

Bill Gates ran away when he thought of the price of a 64gig iSSD. Hopefully this means SSD's will drop to a bearable price.

My children will look at my ridiculously puny flash storage devices and exclaim something like "why is it so huge? does it hold like 1000 petabytes?"

Heheh, yup. The biggest (physically) HDD I've ever had was a 5.25" 'half-height' (in the original meaning, ie, it fills one 5.25" bay instead of 2), 2 platter drive that held all of 10MB. :D I got it second hand when my grandfather gave us his old computer, but I can only imagine when he got it the thing must have been insanely expensive.
