Also, for clarification, did you mean <60, not >60?

Less than $60

This one is 59.99 but shipping puts it just a tad over 60.

Assuming you want an external, I would go with the recertified WD that Buzz linked. Those are good solid drives.

i do need an internal, but do you think that one is 2 500 gb? or is it 1 1tb? because im not against ripping it apart. To do backups i pull the hdd out and hook it up to an esata dock

It's definitely a single 1TB.

Looks like they raised the price on it. Did you snag it before?

no, i grabbed an egg shellshocker, after shipping it was $5 more to get a brand new OEM drive...

Damn, I think when I linked you the drive was in the low 40's. :\

haha... didn't look at the price. i lied, got it for 60 with free shipping. but still, not bad... and the size is awesome... I'm starting to want to put my os on the new one... but then again, i don't want to do all that over again... maybe an SSD i would do it for...

Just clone your OS drive to it if you want to switch to it. Quick and easy clone, then just expand the partition to fill the rest of the drive.

hmm... im defiantly bookmarking that one... but im not convinced on using it as an OS drive... i think ill ask for an SSD for xmas, and then ill have all my data on the big one, so all ill have to do is image the os off the 320 (i have it down to 48gb) and have a nice SSD without a big hassle... on a side note... x_x.. so much space... every scrap of data i have is on there, and im not even scraping the sides of this drive... really glad i got the 1000gb instead of the 640 i was going to get...

I heard that cloning a HDD to an SSD is hard and sometimes doesn't work, something to consider and talk about when choosing a drive.
