Interesting; how long has prioritymail.com been active? I've never seen it before. But yeah, you can get as many flat-rate boxes shipped to you as you want, for free (free shipping too, well, getting the boxes to you anyways ;) ). I think they limit you to 200 per order, but you can place as many orders as you like.

Something I find interesting and impressive about this prioritymail.com site though, is the webcam box sizer:

You print out an icon from their site which is a known size, put that icon on whatever you want to ship, and it figures out the dimensions from that. Pretty cool.

Damn, I didn't know you could order that many free boxes! Here I've been paying for them at the post office.

I certainly hope you haven't been paying for flat-rate boxes at the post office... They have other boxes, and they do cost money, but flat-rate boxes have always been free.

I could almost swear I was paying like 2-6 bucks a box. lol

No. They've always been free. That's part of the problem. If they charged even 50 cents for each box they'd make a fortune and then they could stop raising the price of the stamp. People used to get them, then break 'em down and turn them inside-out to be used as plain brown boxes. Now when you look in the boxes it says "thanks for using priority mail" a hundred times!

Or... you could be lazy like me and just cover the priority mail logos with duct tape... still works just fine :)

I have been using that site for at least 4 years now. This is what I ship all of my photo stuff in. The last time I ordered "inventory" I wound up making 3 trips to the post office because somewhere a 0 was added to the quantity of each item. I told the post office it was a mistake and they still made me take them all.
So I got 500 large flat rate boxes, 200 small, 1000 tyvec envelopes, 300 large tubes, 5000 lables, 500 insurance stickers, 30 rolls of prority mail stickers, and well over 1500 forms and other lables. Oh and 500 of the "shoe box" sized boxes.

You should build a house! :D Or at least a computer...case entirely made out of Priority Mail shipping materials? ...yeah...

See. What a waste. Even if they charged 50 cents each they would've made a lot, but instead they give them away!
