I have flashes of a computer case I want to create. It will be nearly all fabricated by me. Getting it on paper has been a real challenge for me. Nearly every mod I've done is based on a centralized theme: Cuda, Buddha, Care Bears, etc.
Thinner ATX is one of the ones where I broke the mold and created something new and that's what I'm planning next.
When you're in a brain slump what do you do to fire it back up?

It depends. Sometimes just talking about something else will trigger inspiration. Sometimes only time releases the creative juices. Walking away and doing something else usually always helps me.

Look at 5 completely random objects around you and mentally note some characteristics of each object that you like. e.g. color, texture, shape, material, intended function, non-intended function. Then think about those characteristics and let your mind wander. Writers' block and your brain slump are caused by too narrow of a mental-focus. You'll likely be more productive when not concentrating on the task at hand. Also, it's good to welcome any interruptions.

I'm jotting it out now, but it too complicated for me to make a SketchUp of it. I will try, but this is beyond my ability

I doubt it. Practice makes perfect.

I mean SketchUp. I've been using it since it came out, but I still suck.
