There are other cards with 6 mini display ports as well. Believe it or not, we each need 6 monitors! This one card just happens to be able to render all of them at once.

This is definitely a more effective form of advertising. If it were a TV commercial I would have tuned it out with the other commercials...but they sneaked a disguised advertisement into youtube, which is a place we go to actually watch stuff...clever...

Ya, I thought it was a clever ad as well. I saw a comment on one of the videos saying "This is the longest unboxing vid ever." I lol'd.
