I haven't come across any reasons for needing this but it may be the next best replacement to a multi-monitor setup aside from...getting a big ass monitor of course! :twisted:

Yeah, I remember seeing that a while back. I regularly use multiple desktops on my linux systems, partly for organizational purposes, partly because I don't have 4 monitors on any of them.. :whistler: Personally I think the multiple desktops/workspaces route is better than this thing because it's a lot easier to organize stuff in a usable manner and quicker to switch between them (keyboard shortcuts).

Ya, a multi-monitor setup would definitely be a better route if need be since you can monitor them all at the same time but free software is always good. Well.. not always.
