Alright I've gone through everything in the BIOS but I still can't figure out how to get the computer to stop swapping my multi from 9 to 6 under low cpu load. It's messing me up in my games. everytime it switches I get a 'glitch' in the game, and have dies several times because of it. any ideas? :?

It's called speed stepping. You can override it with RMClock or possibly in your power settings if you're using a laptop.

lol, I don't even understand the question.
Your multi-what? You can't be talking about 9 processor cores.

His multipliers are stepping during gaming where they shouldn't be so he wanted to disable them to keep the CPU running at max potential to avoid hickups when it jumps back and forth.

Ah ... that makes sense, thanx.
Lots of info on google (http://www.google.ca/#num=100&hl=en&safe=off&q=disable+intel+speedstep&aq=f&aqi=g3g-m1&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=86cc057bb31c4824). Most involve Windows or BIOS settings, easy and workable but boring ... the exciting ones involve cpu pinning, aw yeah.
