I started with Oblivion (recommended here), then went to Fallout 3 (also recommended here) and I loved them. Those are all done now, except for Fallout New Vegas which will be out soon.

I bought Dragon Age and that looks interesting, but I have yet to install it.

I was wondering what game should I go to next? I was checking out Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space, but I don't really know. I like games similar to Fallout and Oblivion where you can walk around huge worlds and explore. I like bows & arrows, and sniper rifles and the ability to sneak.

I came back to TBCS for this question. What should I try next?

Borderlands is kinda like Fallout. The game feels a little half finished at times, like people who don't talk to you but you think they should or characters that die because (I think) the writers just wanted to not worry about them any more, but it's a good game.

Brink is coming out soon. That game looks really really really good.

If you are looking for something different, Hammerfight is pretty good. It's very low budget, it was developed in Russia, but it's pretty fun and somewhat addictive.

I saw that Brink and Rage were coming out from Bethesda and they both look cool

The Witcher imo. I tried the first Mass Effect and it had too much dialogue and not enough action. It felt very political and decision based. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not my cup o' tea I guess. To be fair I havn't tried the second one, maybe it has more phaser fire /pewpew.

Nice! Did you buy the Orange Box or just HL2? I love Half-life 2 and the episodes are good too.

Yeah, they are something of a must if you are a gamer. I mean, look at the score on metacritic!

I'm more of an FPS/Racing sim guy with the occasional MMORPG. I don't really have any drive to play games I can't really advance in, it feels pointless to play. I'll give it a try though. I just checked and I don't have the actual HL2 game itself, only the deathmatch and "Lost Coast" -- whatever that is.

I have HL2, but I haven't installed it yet. I just picked up Morrowind and Fallout3: New Vegas will be here in two days!

HL2 is fun and will entertain you. It isn't QUITE as involved as fallout 3, but will be a challenge and has an awesome storyline. very interactive environment too. (using sawblades as a weapon w/ the grav gun? yes please!)
