Do you think these shows are faked? That the sounds are created by the show and that the things that move on camera are all staged? My wife is an extreme skeptic. She says that everything on the show is fake, that none of these places are haunted and all of it is 100% staged

Your thoughts?

Those sounds, etc, are most likely created by electrical interference from strange wiring, old wiring, etc.

While I do accept the possibility that such phenomena could exist, I have yet to see any instance that convinced me it couldn't have been faked. Also, for the TV show point specifically, maybe I'm just cynical, but I am of the firm belief that, with the exception of live-broadcast stuff, everything on TV is carefully planned and scripted. So no, I don't think it's real.

even live tv is buffered for censoring purposes now, thanks to the super bowl nipple fiasco. :)

Reality shows are fake and scripted. What makes you think unreality shows wouldn't be?

A random thought ... vampires don't have reflections, ie: can't be seen in mirrors. Doesn't that mean they'd be impossible to photograph on film, given the use of mirrors inside cameras? If only those dumb supernatural hunters went digital, oh yeah.

Actually almost every camera is direct light to film / sensor capture. The old fable that vampires can not be photographed spawned from the use of silver emulsion in the early days of photography.
