This project was initially intended to put a XBox into a PC case. Luckily I bought a cheap case that fell apart. I then took the only tools I had at the time (a leatherman and tin snips) and began my project. In the end, I added a pc power supply (dual voltage is a must since I am currently in Germany...I hate transformers), acrylic window in the top tray, and green neon light. I mounted the controller ports in a 3 1/2" bay insert. I kow this isn't a PC mod, but this project is the foundation of my PC mod...which I completed tonight. It will be my next posting.

Wow. That's pretty neat. Why didn't you paint the tool tray black? Or Green?
Also: What's up with the craftsman logo? Big sears Fanboy?

Overall, I think it's quite clever. Great for lans, I'd imagine. Can controllers fit in the tool tray?

On the XBox, I did not do any painting. The green comes from two Green mod lights usually geared for PC mods. I inserted an acrylic window in the tray so you could see the inside. And yes, the power cord, two controllers, and both AV cords fit in the top tray. No extra gear to carry...except for a tv if going to a Lan party.

The Craftsman was selected based on availability. I kept with the them on my PC.

Before you connect a PC powersupply to your XBox mobo...I bought a harness that makes it so the wires match up correctly. If you plug the power supply directly into the mobo, it will probably make some popping noises and some smoke. Forget where I bought mine, but do a search for XBox mods/parts.

If that's not patented, I might just use it. LOL.
