Hello everyone, I would very much enjoy if you guys could take a couple minutes to fill out a quick survey so I can get some needed stats for a satirical essay that I am writing for a college class. I dont really want to mention the topic of my essay yet because Im afraid it may Soapbox the thread, but the point is to take some very basic info from a survey and manipulate it in a way to reinforce an outrageous argument. All I will say is my topic is controversial, and Im sure someone would have some strong opinions towards what I am writing but that is what my professor is really looking for.


Once you hit "submit" just exit out because it will ask you to sign up when you dont need to.

Thanks to TBCS and [H]ard|Forum I have way more results than expected; about to reach 100 responses. My professor said we only needed 10-20 responses, so looks like Im in good shape statistics wise :)

I'll see how the essay goes; hopefully it wont go down in flames.

Oh yea, gotta write a stupid philiosophy paper first too :(

I also 'think' I have some idea of what your topic may be. I like controversial subjects and how people react to them. Also, it looks as though you are now indebted to the 2 mentioned communities, which can be repaid only by posting the paper when it is finished.

Well I finished my paper. For anyone that actually wants to read it PM me. Id rather not have it open to the public.

For those who just want to know the topic:
My original idea was about abortion but had some trouble creating crazy scenarios so I went with overpopulation and created somewhat ridiculous methods to solving the problem.

To those who have read it, any comments or suggestions? :) I should be getting the paper back tomorrow and will have a chance to correct errors/enchance writing.

I'll shoot you a PM with some specific thoughts, but I feel I should point out that particularly the last two questions in the survey were very vague. For example, I think that overpopulation will eventually pose a problem (so I voted yes), but I am quite confident that we are decades, likely centuries, away from that becoming a real problem.

EDIT:
Just re-read the OP and saw it's a satirical essay... :facepalm:

I should have metioned the questions were purposley vague so I could use them to make some bad gernalizations. Secondly, my original idea for the essay was about abortion but I changed my topic mid-essay so I didnt necessarily use all the info I got.

I do need to add some more statistics but overall I think its pretty good.
