Do they make an EEEPC 13"? I couldn't find one.
It's got a much more powerful CPU than the EEE's (dual-core ULV Celeron still isn't all that powerful, but it doesn't take much to beat an Atom), so it'll provide a more pleasant experience if you want to run more than one or two things at a time. It has a much higher resolution display (1024x600 on the EEE's vs 1366x768 on this), and no, there is no 13" EEE, and tbh I rather doubt there ever will be. Originally it was because of the limits that MS put on the dirt-cheap XP licenses that the original netbooks used, but now that most manufacturers are moving over to 7, and MS isn't selling XP licenses to anyone anymore (well, except for XP embedded), those restrictions aren't in play anymore. That's why we're starting to see some actual changes in netbook specs with companies adding dual-core Atoms and dedicated GPUs.
The only thing that concerns me about this is that I've never heard of ViewSonic making computers before. They make good monitors, but will the quality transfer over? Except for that and the 3 hour battery life it looks like a great little low-power laptop.
