liquid acrylic question

I am currently working on a ps1 mod,

I will cut a PS logo on top of the round part, I originally want to put a plexi-glass sheet under it so that people could see this inside of it, put I realized that it would be pretty ugly because of the layered appearance it would give.

I wanted something that could bond with the original plastic of the PS1 my idea was to put liquid acrylic in the round part that would then be face down, so that the acrylic would bond with the plastic and it would look better.

My problem is that I have no idea on how to do this How can I put liquid acrylic without it sticking to whatever surface the ps1 is on.

Are you intending to melt the acrylic to pour it into the cutout? I'm not sure clear acrylic would look good after that, but colored acrylic might. Whether this works or not depends on how you are melting it and if the temperature it melts at is less than the melting temp of the original plastic. Also, be aware that melting acrylic releases toxic fumes that will do bad things to your body if you breathe them, so do this in a well ventilated area. Wax paper will prevent the acrylic from sticking to anything.

you could use clear casting resin and tint it whatever color you want (if you wanted it tinted). Just make something with a wax paper base to pour the resin onto, and just pour it until it's level with the top of the platic, and let it set up, then remove the backing

I second this although I have no casting experience. Resin should work better than acrylic.
