You guys have seen my airbrushing work.. Primo is my mentor (and he's being modest in his post). You can also see his work on the TV shows Overhaulin, Rides, and Titus.

Are you comfortable with Biomech/Giger work?

What about on a knife? I'm not sure if it'd be too small of a canvas for airbrushing technical designs like biomech but I have a few around here that I bought and only carried a couple times so now they're worthless for collecting and just sit in their box, "used."

If you're up for it, any idea of what it'd cost me? :D

He did this on a Harley dashboard Friday night. The cars are about as big as your thumb. Let me tell ya, it was awesome to watch!

I really like the blend of industrial/bones... like H.R. Giger, biomech, steampunk-y.

Just the mechanical design, no skin. http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/5407/biomech2.jpg
Here's one of my favorite gigers for ref:http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/3659/hrgigeralienmonsterivr.jpg
Some Steampunk:http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/378/steampunkart5paxiu4214k.jpg

The test blade: http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/4648/persistenceedc006.jpg

I know it's a lot of intricate work going onto a small canvas so I'll be sacrificing one of my cheaper knives before I even think about airbrushing a 2-300 dollar knife. As a test I'll give him one of the liners, roughly 1"x5".

Colors would be your black & white tones with a touch of brass.

Eventually it'd be this model: http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/8333/emminicqc15sf.jpg
--Entire blade + the 1 titanium liner, the other one will be acid-washed then smoked&bronzed along with the pocket clip, spacers and screws.

QUESTIONS:
A) Is it possible?
B) How much for the test section?

I haven't painted a case yet, but everything else I've painted (except for my street bike) has been rattle can. my streetbike was done with an automotive gun, and the frame of it was powdercoated by a local shop

I'm kinda lucky (and kinda dumb) - over the last couple of years I've laid out $100's and $100's so I'm now set up for full automotive refinishing - I work in an autobody repair supply outfit so I have access to pretty much everything lol. I just need to invest in a spraygun that costs more than $20 heh....

Tis nice to get everything at wholesale cost price tho.....

I also have a standing offer from a customer to have anything I want powdercoated free of charge as long as i'm willing to do all the teardown and prep, and wait until he's coating something else the same colour as I want.... I really should take him up on that offer sometime!
