Could a logical drive be created on your RAM? Say 2GB out of my 8 set aside as a logical drive to install on. If it can be done, then the program could be executed at the speed of your RAM (which would be faster than any SSD) and as long as the computer had power it wouldn't get erased.

Your thoughts?

Yes, it can be done. It's called a RAMDisk. Used commonly for folding -bigadv, if you lose power, the data is gone.

During my linux days I had my firefox cache set to be stored in my RAM. And it slowed down significantly when I was browsing huge web pages with a lot of images. Just saying that the extra speed you get from installing on your RAM might be lost if you're using a lot of programs etc at the same time.
