Quick question about a mobo

I've got an old(er) Gigabyte mobo GA-8IK1100 that I'm thinking is dead. I got it from a friend as an inop computer. All the other components check out in another computer except the psu and mobo/processor. With the thing all together it powers up all fans, hd seems to run, but no display at all. It doesn't show any video signal with 2 different video cards, no BIOS fault. There's an LED on the mobo that lights yellow, having never looked at this system while it was functional I'm unsure if this is normal. It also doesn't make any noise with a speaker plugged in. So..... is the board dead?

Sounds it. If I remember correctly, that's an older board for business usage anyway. Salvage anything possible.

Did you try replacing the mobo battery? 3V CR2032, available at your local dollar store.
